I got back yesterday morning from orchestra camp. It was a lot of fun again this year. I'm really surprised that I didn't get sore from playing three to five hours a day. In the morning and early afternoon we (my group) usually would practice and be bored. At four we started the beginning orchestra, at five had a half hour break, and then practice for the advanced orchestra would begin. We finished practice at seven thirty and would then go back to the cabin to eat supper. That was a very late supper as compared to what I'm used to. :) On Wednesday night there was a potluck for the orchestra players. Thursday night was game night at the Big cabin. Some of us played Crainum and it was fun but I didn't know a lot of the things. The ones I did know I amazed everybody with though. Well, this is all coming out in random order unlike the way I did this last year. :) In the first orchestra I got to do a solo. I played it so beautifully on Thursday night. :) I started flat at the concert. :( I was able to fix it right away, but I wish I had played it as well as the night before.
I don't want to start school tomorrow. That week was really fun without having any responsibilities.

Here is the post!
Let me think, what have I been doing since my last post.
On the 25 of June I took the examiner's test. It didn't take me long to finish. As the examiner was correcting the tests I saw one that was 100%. I was in agony after that, not knowing if it was my test or not. It turned out that it was my test so I was really excited about that.
After we were dismissed my Mom took me to meet some friends and we went to a family camp.
That next Monday Emily went off to camp. We didn't miss her. (Well maybe a little)
We went to the pool nearly every night. (All summer not just while Emily was at camp)
For the 4th of July my Grandpa and Grandma and a friend of my Mom's came up.
On the 5th I went to swim in the morning, and later I went down to Brainerd with my grandparents.
Tuesday another one of my Mom's friends went to Brainerd and I went to the cities for the week with her. That was a story in itself. I got home on Sunday.
For the next two weeks I went to Wow to swim Monday through Thursday.
The 14th was Jason's birthday.
On the 15th Jason had an ortho appointment so I went to Roseau and got my permit that day.
I'm going to skip up to yesterday now.
My behind the wheel training was scheduled for this week and next week. I did better today then yesterday. Although I made a bit to tight of a right turn today. :)

Busy Busy Busy
As you can guess from the title I have been very busy this week. My days have consisted of Drivers Ed. in the morning then helping at the library for a bit then coming home and working on Bible Bee. That takes care of my day up to about two o'clock. (That last sentence is probably not grammatically correct, but I'm not going to fix it.) Also we have in the evenings been going to the pool.
Next week is going to be at LEAST as busy. After Drivers Ed, instead of going to the library I am going to go help at a VBS.
I do wonder if nobody has common sense. One of the questions on a practice quiz we had yesterday was; the sign, "Right lane ends" the question, True or False "I must merge to the right" There were actually several questions like that!!!!
Melissa thinks I need to go help her shoot the bow. I think there are going to be to many mosquitoes out there though.

A Chronicle of My Week at Orchestra Camp
On Sunday I got everything I needed together and headed over to the Nancy and Larry's house. We were going to be camping in a camper because the cabin the they usually rent wasn't available. I quite enjoyed the camper and where we were located, more then I think I would have liked the cabin. Tasha and I got our stuff loaded up and soon we were on our way.
It was an unpleasant drive to Renier. Larry drove the camper and Nancy drove the van. It was not a fun drive though because it rained hard the whole way over. :( Once we arrived, because it was so wet, we had a hard time getting the camper set up. :(
We did finally end up getting situated. After we ate we got ready to go to the Renier community building for the first part of the orchestra camp.
In the Symphonia--junior orchestra, our conductor was Karen. Nancy asked her where I should sit, and after learning I could read music, Karen told me to sit first chair in the first violin section. I did quiet well, and had fun. My stand partner, Marcha, said I did well.
In the regular orchestra (the advanced group) I played with the second violins. Even though I could hear all the different sounds in the symphonia, I was not ready for everything put together. I was so overwhelmed and got so tense my stand partner, Kerstin, had to keep telling me to relax. I made it through the evening, even though it was quite overwhelming.
We went back to the camper and I got to meet some of Larry and Nancy's family. Their daughter Theresa, her husband Rocky, and their sons Tim and Marcus came up for orchestra camp. They had quite a long drive, all the way from the cities!
When it was time for bed, Tasha and I slept on a pull-out bed in the couch. It was a very comfortable bed for being a pull-out!
Monday was a fairly uneventful day. I worked on the music and remembering names. We did the symphonia in the community building, but had to go to a different location for the orchestra. I did a much better job then Sunday, knowing what to expect made a big difference. Scott, the conductor also went slower. :)
Tuesday, what was Tuesday?
I think besides practicing music I played Ticket to Ride and was outside quite a bit. After the symphonia and the orchestra, several of us went to Idlewood for a game night. We played Mad Gab, and got quite a few laughs out of that.
Wednesday morning I woke up not feeling well. Since having the wind in my face and usually helps, I asked Theresa if I could use her bike and then just went back and forth on the road. By the time I was done riding I felt much better.
I think Wednesday was the first day I went swimming. I don't remember for sure though. The Waster was really clean so it was nice to swim in.
After orchestra, there was another game night at Idlewood. Tasha, Marcus, and I went, but it wasn't as fun as the night before.
It was windy all day Thursday and Friday, but that didn't stop Marcus and me from swimming. I think it was around nine-thirty we jumped and got called crazy by Rocky. :) We didn't stay in long, but it was fun while it lasted.
Thursday afternoon, the second violins had a sectional. After that was over, I went to Idlewood for a little bit and then I went back to the community center with Karen and helped her set up Bingo.
Karen had made a Bingo game for stringed instruments. Beautiful Bows, Interesting Instruments, Something Notes, Great Composers, and I don't remember what O was. I helped get the game set up then once enough people got there we started playing. I liked her game, because we could make our own sheet.
After playing it was time to start the symphonia. After orchestra was done everybody went to Idlewood, this time for a potluck. Most of the food was good, but some of it looked good and tasted awful. :(
Tim, Theresa, Tasha, and I were sitting with Sami, a girl they all knew from last year. Sami had a story for everything. It was funny to watch her eyes light up as she'd think of something else to say. Finally I told Tim we should just throw out random words and see what kind of stories we could get. The first phrase Tim threw out was Pigs in a Blanket. Sami though for a moment, then said she didn't think she had any stories about Guinna Pigs. That set Sami off on a whole circle of stories. We went form Guinna pigs to kittens to dogs to a dog who liked to steal her blankets and wrap up in them like a "pig in a blanket." We got quite a laugh out of that. :)
Friday it was still windy, but it wasn't rainy and gray. It was nice and sunny. :) We went swimming again that morning. Tim jumped in the water and jumped right back out because it was cold, but Marcus and I stayed in quite a while. After I climbed out of the water I had planned to be done, but later that afternoon when it was warmer we went swimming again. A not so pleasant part of the day was when I got stung by a wasp. :( Excepting the sting, Friday was a good day.
Soon it was time to get ready for the concert. Tasha's mom came to get her so we got all of Tasha's stuff moved to her mom's car and then we headed on over to the community center for the concert.
There was a good turnout. Almost every seat of 110 or so was taken. I think there might have been people outside and in the kitchen too. The program said I played only in the symphonia, even though I played in the orchestra too. :( Oh well, it's not a big deal to me. We did a good job in the concert, it all sounded really nice. I think my favorite of all the songs was the one we played at the end of the symphonia, a Sanoran Sunset. It was a really pretty piece, especially with all the parts. It was just beautiful. *sigh*
After the concert was over we helped clean up and once that was done we went to Dairy Queen.
I woke up early on Saturday to an awful smell. I was tired and hadn't been feeling the best and the smell was just the last straw and I felt really icky. It took a while, but after the smell cleared away and I got busy I felt much better.
There was pretty much no wind that day and it would have been perfect for swimming, but I already had my stuff packed away. Not long after that we headed for home.
Even though it was a really long week I had fun and am glad I went.

This and that
I'm still around. Last week I went to soccer camp and had lots of fun again. I really enjoyed singing at chapel. If anybody wants to come with me next year you are more then welcome. :)
On Monday I cut my hair and donated it to Locks for Love. Now it's the shortest it's been for two years.
I've been working on memorizing verses for the Bible Bee. Just over a month and I'll see how well I did compared to the others doing the Bible Bee.
We will be starting school in just over two weeks. I'm ready for some of it, but not to thrilled about the rest such as chemistry and geometry.
Last night was the last night of track. :( I beat my best time for the 1/2 mile for the year!
I'm going to be doing lots of baking today. One cake is already out of the oven, I need to make another, and will do three bread stuffs.
I suppose that's about it.

Trip part five
After we left the Astronaut Hall of Fame, we went straight to the airport. On the way there we got nailed by a heavy rainstorm. We had to go through security again, and this time I was the only one that didn't get my carry-on searched. We ate lunch at the airport and while we were waiting for the plane, Becky bought two HUGE things of ice cream. While we were up in the air we were going through a little bit of turbulence, so we had to keep our seat belts on longer then the first trip. I jipped Becky. I told her she could sit by the window this time, but for the first half of the trip all there was to be seen was clouds. :) Becky C. was waiting for us when we landed. Our suitcases were all together this time so it was easy to get them and go.
Becky made us tacos for supper and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Yummy! Grandma needed a Queen's crown (the T thingy, I can't spell it) so Becky, Becky, and I made her one. After we dropped Becky off we started the long drive to Bemidji. I was half asleep most of the drive so it wasn't to bad for me. Wednesday we went to McDonalds for lunch, then headed the rest of the way home.

Trip part four
Let me see...where was I?
On Sunday was church. The sermon was really good, but (I've said it before and I'll say it again) they didn't know how to sing. After church we went to a fancy restaurant and had lunch. We also went to a treasure museum. We went swimming again later that day and had fun.
On Monday we went to Lion Country Safari. It was like a zoo, but the animals weren't in cages. It was fun seeing all the animals and I took a LOT of pictures there.
Tuesday morning we left early and went to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. I went on a simulator with Becky and I will NOT go on it again.

Trip part three
We got to Vero Beach Wednesday and then on Thursday we went on a boat tour. We were supposed to see lots of wildlife, but we didn't see much other that a few dolphins at the beginning of the trip, birds, and a raccoon.
On Friday, we went to the Kennedy Space Center and stayed all day. That was a fun trip. We went on a tour to three different places, and at the first one we saw a shuttle on the launch pad.
Saturday was our lazy day. We went swimming in the ocean, Becky and I had fun doing that, and then Grandma, Marcy, Becky, and I went to a Goodwill. On the way back we ran out of gas, but we managed to run out a block away from a gas station so that was nice.

Trip part two
After Jeff took us to the airport, we had to get rid of our suitcases, and go through security. Grandpa got stopped so we had to wait for him. Our airplane was on time so that was nice. The pressure going up actually wasn't as as I thought it would be, but my ears did pop once. Once we got up I had a good time looking out the window. It was neat seeing everything get smaller and smaller. It was dark by the time we got to Orlando, so once we were over the city we could see all the lights. That was cool. It was a nice landing. We only bumped once. When we got down we had to find our suitcases and then we were ready to go. Kent and Marcy were waiting for us so once we were ready we left. The place where we stayed was close to the ocean. We only had to walk three minutes to get to the beach, but of course we didn't go that night.

TRIP
Monday night I started my trip to Florida. My mom, Emily, Melissa, Laura and I started our trip by going to Karlstead. Laura had a surgery for her teeth early Tuesday morning. We spent part of the night at a friends house and then about two thirty we left to go to Fargo. That was a long and boring trip. After we got to Fargo, we had to sit at the hospital for about four hours. When Laura came out ue weft and went to McDonalds. The girls had fun playing at the play place, and when we left we headed for Bemidji. After we got to Bemidji, we unpacked the car, and then Grandma, Grandpa, and I left for the cities after supper. We are now at Jeff and Becky's house, and I am just waiting. The plane leaves in a few hours.

Yesterday
Yesterday was a fun day for me. A friend brought me to a geography club so I had fun there sharing what I had learned about Russia, and hearing what others had learned. It was the first time I had gone but it was fun. When one little boy was doing his presentation his face got so red it was cute.
After the geography club my ride stayed for a speech class so I went to that too. It was interesting. Next time we have to write a five minute speech to share.
It was a fun but tiring day.

Tournaments
Well, I thought I'd post and astonish everyone out there. :D
The tournaments were yesterday. The juniors got third place and the seniors got second. We (seniors) only had two goals scored on us the whole day though. I got quite beat up in the first game. I got knocked over, whammed hard with the ball, and whammed with the ball again five minutes later! That team was getting very frustrated by the end of the first half because we didn't let them score. I almost scored a couple of goals but still not quite. When I got put in I almost scored a goal right away. It was like I'm in, I'M HERE pay attention to me!
It's sad that the official season is over now, the only game left is parents verses kids on Thursday. It seems we just started not to long ago!

Soccer Game #3
Yesterday we played a really good game of soccer. On the senior team everyone was clicking and working together very well. We had twelve seniors there and two of the oldest juniors stepped up to help. I had an assist and several shots and just was doing well all around. We won again and I hope we can play that well against Karlstead. Our tab is now; Two games won, One game lost.

Soccer Game #1
Well, the first soccer game was yesterday. We (seniors) lost five to zero to a good team, but we did have shots on goal. The junior game was eight to two. They were doing alright in the first half with the score being two to one but Karlstead whomped them in the second half. It was quite frustrating watching the juniors now that I'm not in the whole of that game. When we were playing I got a pretty little kick on my leg and it hurts! I am still alive though. :D
Tonight I get to go to a pre-AWANA meeting because I am going to help this year.

Well, soccer practice has been going well for the seniors...can't say anything about the juniors. The first game is on Tuesday so it will be fun to see how that goes.
We need to do something today because than every day this month we'll be doing something.

wirlwind
Well, after soccer camp I thought I would have a quiet time for awhile...I was wrong. Wednesday afternoon a whirlwind picked me up and dropped me off in Bemidji, so I was at my Grandma's house till Sunday, than I spent that night at a friends house and went home Monday morning. I had a fun time down there and some of the things I did were...
Go riding with Grandpa and Keren. (the crazy horse even jumped over a puddle while I was on her) :D
Surprise people at church on Wednesday night. very funny
Go to the fair twice.

soccer camp
I have been at soccer camp the last couple of days so I have been having a good time there.
If this is going to be uninteresting...skip it.
At camp the high points were the GOOD food, playing defense, (and driving people crazy) playing forward, (and scoring one goal) and chapel. This year I really got into the chapel. Worship this year was so electrifying and I loved a couple of the new songs I learned.
The low point was probably the blisters I got.
I played defense and surprised several people by being faster than they thought. I also scored one goal when I was a forward. One of the girls in my cabin, on a different team than the one I scored on, when I said I got a goal she was so surprised. "How did you get a goal?!??!!?" She didn't know I wasn't defense in that game. Her expression was very funny.
All right. thats enough.
