Snow
We have snow on the ground. Can anyone guess what that means? It means putting snow stuff on Laura at least five times a day! :)

Hot.
I am hot today. I think it is almost eighty degrees in the house. I think tomorrow I will jump in the outdoor pool for a while.
I was asked by the swim director at our pool to help with swimming lessons to fill in for several of her teachers who are at a camp this week, so tomorrow and Thursday I will be helping there. That is why I will be in town to go to the pool.
I have been busy working on my Bible Bee stuff. I am sad that this year they did not have the computer game to help learn verses in the box. You have to buy it. :(
If this post seems to go everywhere without being in any order, I'm going to blame it on the heat. I am not looking forward to ninety degree weather.

David plays baseball
At the beginning David thought I was taking a picture of him so he stopped to smile for me. :)

Oops
A bit ago Laura was asking me for a napkin for her cookie, but she wasn't talking correctly (just talking in funny noises) so I kept asking her "What?" Well, she asked again and I responded, "I can't get you a napkin if I don't understand what you're saying." Well she didn't catch that but several others in the room did so we had a good laugh. I was asked if that was a slip or not and then Laura wanted to know who slipped. :)

Funny things
I was just on facebook and one of my friends put up a you tube clip about how grammar in America is not very good any more, and it reminded me of a conversation I had on Sunday night. One of my friends (he goes to public school) was talking to a foreign exchange student from China and he was saying he could go teach English. At this point Aaron interjected into the conversation and said, "Public schoolers don't teach people; they learn people." The funy thing is that Ben didn't get it. We all had a good laugh at his expense.
Disclaimer: I have nothing against people who go to public school, they just 'ain't got no good grammar' :)

Winter fun
Oh, what fun it is to play in a winter wonderland. Especially when you don't have to play in the snow. I'll have to take a picture of a fort Emily and I made. So far it has kept out the snow on the finished sides.

Falling. The leaves are falling.
Reminding me of the tears on my face.
Wilting. The flowers are wilting.
As sometimes I wilt when I think of hard times to come.
Leaving. The birds are all leaving.
Just I am left to think of what I've lost.
Needed. Gone are the things I thought I needed.
And I find I have all I need.
Never. Jesus will never leave me.
Though things get hard He is always with me.
Forever. He has promised me forever.
I will have Him for all eternity.
Growing. Through Jesus I am growing.
Being molded into who He wants me to be.
Always. I have always.
Always I can care. Always I can share.
Jesus. He fills my empty spaces.
It's Him I love, for Him I live. It's Jesus.

Bible Bee
Well, for me this year's Bible Bee is over. On Friday we went down to the cities and Saturday was was the local competition day. For the written test I got almost three-quarters of the questions correct, and in the oral round I knew almost one-third of the passages I was asked to recite. Considering I had memorized less then one-quarter of the verses I got lucky in the ones they asked for. I did not place in the local Bee, but last night we found out it was only by sixteen points. If I did the math correctly I am in the top third for my age group across the nation. Two people I know get to go to nationals! Congratulations!

Orchestra camp!
I got back yesterday morning from orchestra camp. It was a lot of fun again this year. I'm really surprised that I didn't get sore from playing three to five hours a day. In the morning and early afternoon we (my group) usually would practice and be bored. At four we started the beginning orchestra, at five had a half hour break, and then practice for the advanced orchestra would begin. We finished practice at seven thirty and would then go back to the cabin to eat supper. That was a very late supper as compared to what I'm used to. :) On Wednesday night there was a potluck for the orchestra players. Thursday night was game night at the Big cabin. Some of us played Crainum and it was fun but I didn't know a lot of the things. The ones I did know I amazed everybody with though. Well, this is all coming out in random order unlike the way I did this last year. :) In the first orchestra I got to do a solo. I played it so beautifully on Thursday night. :) I started flat at the concert. :( I was able to fix it right away, but I wish I had played it as well as the night before.
I don't want to start school tomorrow. That week was really fun without having any responsibilities.

Here is the post!
Let me think, what have I been doing since my last post.
On the 25 of June I took the examiner's test. It didn't take me long to finish. As the examiner was correcting the tests I saw one that was 100%. I was in agony after that, not knowing if it was my test or not. It turned out that it was my test so I was really excited about that.
After we were dismissed my Mom took me to meet some friends and we went to a family camp.
That next Monday Emily went off to camp. We didn't miss her. (Well maybe a little)
We went to the pool nearly every night. (All summer not just while Emily was at camp)
For the 4th of July my Grandpa and Grandma and a friend of my Mom's came up.
On the 5th I went to swim in the morning, and later I went down to Brainerd with my grandparents.
Tuesday another one of my Mom's friends went to Brainerd and I went to the cities for the week with her. That was a story in itself. I got home on Sunday.
For the next two weeks I went to Wow to swim Monday through Thursday.
The 14th was Jason's birthday.
On the 15th Jason had an ortho appointment so I went to Roseau and got my permit that day.
I'm going to skip up to yesterday now.
My behind the wheel training was scheduled for this week and next week. I did better today then yesterday. Although I made a bit to tight of a right turn today. :)
Well that was not detailed but that is some of what I've been doing.
Now I'm going off to do other stuff.

I PASSED!!!!!
With the exception of the examiner's test on Friday, I am finished with the classroom education part of drivers ed. I didn't get 100%, but came close. Out of fifty questions I only got one wrong!
All right, I'm finished bragging.
